TO ENTERTAIN AND ENLIGHTEN
Tony Vidal (Writer, Director, Producer) has devoted his life to storytelling. He studied screenwriting at USC where he earned a Masters in Screenwriting, and later became a story analyst at United Artists, Orion Pictures, and The Ladd Company, where he reviewed a multitude of major feature film projects.
Tony was hired by Summertime Films to write Her Best Move, an indy feature about girls soccer that was distributed by MGM and aired on The Disney Channel.
Tony made his directorial debut with The Prankster, a teen comedy/romance which he also wrote, and was produced by his own production company, Prankster Entertainment. The Prankster was distributed by Strand Releasing on numerous platforms including Netflix and Hulu and had a successful two year run on Showtime and Starz.
Tony went on to write and produce Baja, which was theatrically released by AMC Independent, and streams on Amazon Prime, Tubi, and all major platforms.
Tony’s latest production, Free Byrd, starring Raymond J. Barry, can be seen on Amazon Prime, Tubi, and many major platforms.
As a filmmaker, Tony seeks to tell stories that entertain and enlighten. He also enjoys dark chocolate and a good laugh.
